I think I was in my junior year of college when I started freestyling. No, you wont see me in any videos any time soon, nor will I be releasing a mixtape. But if you are driving on the road and hear me bumpin’ a sick beat … know that I’m probably freestyling to that beat. Something like this … “It’s V-IKE on the mic once again, and I’m here to win, no doubt free from sin, it’s a fact my friend …” Aiight, anyway … when I started freestyling I learned that BET had a program called 106 & Park and on Fridays they had a segment called freestyle Friday. I saw this guy Jin run strong for like 7 weeks. He was so nice that he was picked up by a nationally known label (I’m not really a fan of the label), but with that said everyone was probably thinking the same thing I was thinking “I have never seen a Chinese guy rap like this before.” It was ridiculous!
Fast forward almost 10 years and a friend told me to check out this video. This testimony shows how the Godly effect of one person on another persons life can work wonders.
And it doesn’t matter what he does, Jin was blessed with a gift to rap and paint pictures with his words. And now he has power behind his words and is not just rapping about the frivolous things of this world. Enjoy the first single off his new mixtape titled “Say Something.”
