Call me crazy but the state of womens shoes has been getting crazier and crazier as the years go by. The first time I noticed this was about 6 years ago. So there we were, my friends and I, walking the streets of Toronto. It was a warm summer day and sun was blazing, but I know I was not blinded by the haze. All of a sudden I saw this woman with flat footed sandals laced up her calves and I knew I had seen that somewhere before. My boy saw it too and quickly he shouted “Are you not entertained???”

Now for those of you who are lost, think for a minute. You know that scene from the movie The Gladiator where Maximus (Russell Crowe) is in the arena screaming out to the fans after killing one of the other fighters.I couldn’t help but crack up after he said it. Actually some women have more in common with Maximus than just the shoes. I understand how Maximus felt after spending a hot day in the sun fighting lions and fending off warriors the that were trying to take his life. His feet were ashy and scarred and rough from a long day. I guess thats why when I see ladies wearing these style shoes, I understand why their feet … well you know what I’m saying. A little lotion goes a long way. Next time you see a lady wearing these shoes ask her “Are you not entertained” … ok maybe not, you might get slapped.
